Fancy mingling with the stars? Rubbing shoulders with Elton John, Pavarotti, Mr Bean and sharing hair styling tips with Amy Winehouse?

Well… you can!

Matalan will be hosting a Charity fun day on Sunday 20th July at our Stockport store. The fun day will run in conjunction with the launch of our brand new ‘M Party’ department.

Matalan has teamed up with Stockport based, Spot On Entertainment (http://www.spotoneventsdirect.co.uk/whats_on.htm ), to provide an action packed day with an emphasis on FUN. Stockport shoppers will be treated to a plethora of talent, showcasing local entertainers including look-alike artists Pavarotti, Mr Bean, Roy Chubby Brown (the clean version) Ricky Tomlinson and Elton John. Professional caricaturists, magician, balloon modeller, a sensational vocalist and a wedding singer will all be performing throughout the day with our headline act being a wonderful Amy Winehouse tribute! Lucky the Butler will be on hand to take your orders and Ruby Diamond will be filling in all the gaps with her unique repertoire of 21st century parodies.

Matalan is proud to support the children’s charity NSPCC, any money raised from the entertainment of the day will be donated to help make a difference to the many thousands of children in need across the UK.

M Party has everything you would ever need for your event, whether it’s a hen or stag night, wedding, anniversary, Hawaiian barbeque or kiddies party we can cover it all! We also stock a vast range of Hallmark cards, fancy dress and accessories and probably the best selection of helium filled balloons in the north west!

Kick off for the day is at 11am, entertainment will run throughout the day – bring a smile and some fun and let’s help make a difference!
